Founded in 2019, the St. Nicholas Neighbor in Need Foundation strives to help our Indianapolis neighbors in need.

 

Our Mission

To provide quality of life improvements to people in the Indianapolis area who experience great difficulties in their life due to a handicap, disability, long term illness, accident or other life difficulty.

Our Goal

To enable those in need to be more independent, safe or comfortable in their home environment.

Our Story

Co-founders, Maria and Molly, were inspired by witnessing the daily difficulties their dear friend faced living with the disease of MS and the obstacles this disease caused in their friend’s life. Maria and Molly desired to help their friend become independent in her daily living and ensure a safer home environment. Through much prayer and promptings of the Holy Spirit, Maria and Molly were lead to start the St. Nicholas Neighbor in Need Foundation. The foundation is named after their fathers who both embodied the virtues St. Nicholas lived in his life…those of charity and generosity. Maria and Molly's fathers both loved Christmas and the spirit of giving to others and instilled these virtues and the spirit of St. Nicholas in their lives. Both Maria and Molly’s fathers are deceased and it was a blessing to honor their fathers in this way.

Our Local Supporters:

  • Fit, Flex, Fly (F3) sponsored our very first fundraiser on Thanksgiving Day 2019.

  • A local friend hosted a gift wrap fundraiser before Christmas with proceeds to benefit the St. Nicholas Neighbor in Need Foundation.

  • Mamma Bear Soaps donated to the foundation all proceeds from the Awaken Christmas Boutique sales.

  • Freddy’s agreed to be the location of our first foundation gift surprise for a local Westfield mom living with MS.
