OUR FIRST “GIVING GATHERING”- Feb 2020
We fell in love with these grazing boards which was the inspiration for our first GIVING GATHERING! A group of ladies GATHERED to hear our 2019 foundation recipient, Jennifer Schmidt, share how the foundation has changed her life. We put together a deliciously beautiful, Valentine-inspired, grazing board for all to enjoy and we were all inspired by local caterer Leigh Omer (owner of FRESH FIX) who gave a demonstration on how to artfully construct a delicious charcuterie board. One lucky attendee won the raffle to take the charcuterie board home. Monica Higgins was our 50/50 collection winner and she selflessly chose to give her winnings to a single mom struggling to pay mounting medical bills due to her 2 son’s recent medical diagnosis.
We host “Giving Gatherings”
Modeled after the spirit of giving exemplified by our patron saint, St. Nicholas, we bring people together to raise funds for those in need AND learn something new as well! One half of all funds collected from these learning events goes toward one lucky person who comes prepared to the event with an organization/person in mind whom they desire to gift their winnings. We host at least one Giving Gathering a year.

Carnival Time
Participated in a game booth at HE Lifts Me Up, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Playing off of the tradition of St. Nicholas putting goodies in shoes on the eve of his feast day, each child received a prize depending on which size ball was found in the shoe they chose! Fun was had by all!

A huge thank you to Nick Williams (from John Kirk Furniture) for sharing his talents with the St. Nicholas Neighbor in Need Foundation! Nick created 3 elaborate Christmas wreathes right before our eyes and 3 lucky participants went home with his creations. Also, the Foundation was blessed by the generosity of Kristen Wendt, winner of our 50/50 collection for the evening. Kristen chose the St. Nicholas Neighbor in Need Foundation to receive her winnings. We were very humbled and honored to receive her very kind gesture.

Nick created 3 more elaborate Christmas wreathes right before our eyes and 3 lucky participants went home with his creations.We were most honored to have children’s book author, Gracie Jagula, for a read & sign for her book The Night the Saints Saved Christmas. Also, the Foundation was blessed by the generosity of Dawn Hein, winner of our 50/50 collection. Dawn chose the St. Nicholas Neighbor in Need Foundation to receive her winnings! We were in awe of the generosity and spirit of St. Nicholas displayed once again in 2023.
